Veteran Roasters Expansion Featured in the Chicago Sun-Times
We're proud to share that Veteran Roasters was recently featured in the Chicago Sun-Times for our next big chapter—a planned 16,000-square-foot brewpub, café, and roastery in the Pullman neighborhood.
Once complete, this new facility is expected to create 50–70 jobs for at-risk and formerly homeless veterans, expanding on the mission we began at Rags of Honor: to support those who served by offering stability, purpose, and a path forward.
As Navy veteran and Loop barista Rose Hanks shared in the piece, “2024 was one of the worst years of my life… now everything fell into place.” Her story—and the stories of so many others—are what keep us going.
We’re deeply grateful for the city and state support helping make this possible, including funding through the Neighborhood Opportunity Fund. The Pullman project is an exciting step toward deepening our impact in the veteran community while bringing something truly special to the neighborhood.
